The Story of Bareilly Ki Barfi:
Kriti Sanon aka Bitti Mishra is a carefree and relaxed Bareilly lass who falls in love with Rajkumar aka Pritam Vidrohi who is a writer. Bitti just appreciates his broad-minded way of thinking. Finding Pritam proves to be as tough as searching for a tiny needle in the pile. So, she decides to take help from the local orienting press owner, Ayushmann Khurana aka Chirag Dubey on her venture of love.
Bareilly Ki Barfi is a certainly a hurray moment for Bollywood film. This romantic comedy was shot in Bareilly which is a north Indian town and it eventually breaks all the chains of Bollywood’s dependence on the foreign locations rather it introduces the charisma of an Indian location. The writers Shreyas Jain and Nitesh Tiwari (writer and director of blockbuster Dangal) have successfully put together an identifiable, sweet crowd-pleaser which excels in acting, direction, writing and music departments.
If we are talking about the performance of Rajkumar, then it is worth to mention that Rajkumar is a true scene-stealer. He is a magnetic actor who has proved his acting skills again and again. Whether he is the Gali a Gunda or a stammering saree salesperson, he knows how to steal the show.
Kriti Sanon is also a good actress of these days and needless to say, she makes for a lovable beti and Bitti, while Ayushmann Khurana goes from white to gray effortlessly that you stay devoted to him. Seema Pahwa and Pankaj Tripathi have done a great job in this film that will make you feel tempted to ask the veteran actors for a reprise.
Now we are going to talk about Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari who has successfully won notices for the directional debut Nil Battey Sannata right now is in the topmost form. She gives her best effort to make this comedy and her impeccable writing makes it effective.
Coming back to the story, Bitti is the only child of a sweetmeat shop owner and his Orthodox wife. Bitti’s dad brings up her like a son. Not only this, her dad even allows her the occasional puff as well as swag. On the other side, her mother wants her to get hitched.
Javed Akhtar’s voice-over presenting the situations and the characters is quite breezy thanks to the hilarious punches. You get some peppy numbers like Kamariya and Sweety Tera Drama that will get all of you grooving.
